Good MONDAY morning to everyone! It was a wonderful weekend with great family and friends! The 84th annual Christmas Festival was this weekend in Natchitoches! We enjoyed everyone's company and had a fabulous time! Hope everyone else had a wonderful weekend as well!
I only have ONE test left in this semester! It's thursday and I can't wait!!! I will have a WHOLE MONTH off of school! Woohooooooo!!!!!!

** In other news, I know it's been awhile since I've blogged. I have been SUPER busy with school! And this past week I have been soooo busy getting our home ready for the annual Christmas Festival this weekend! We will have my wonderful MIL and Seth's Aunt Sylvia, his cousin's sweet wife (Leah), and a few friends of ours! We are super excited... but it's been crazt trying to get the house "up to par"! LOL!
Hope that everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving! I know that Seth and I have soooo much to be thankful for! :0)

Shopping Monday

Good morning y'all! It's been awhile since I last blogged! Nursing school, Les Amies, nannying, and LIFE has gotten me tied up lately! I've been SUPER busy--- but won't trade a moment of it! Today is "shopping Monday", and because I am FINALLY going to upgrade my iPhone.... I think it's iPhone accessory shopping time!

Thirsty Thursday

Hey y'all! It's been a wild week! Tests, skills labs, etc!!! Time for our drink of the week! YAY!
I'm gonna bring it back OLD SCHOOL!!!!! Those of you that went to NSU will definitely know what I'm talking about! Nights at the Pinnacle with no worries in the world...circa 2003! LOL! Enjoy responsibly... Don't over-indulge (it'll make you sick--trust me!).

Amaretto Sour
Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz amaretto almond liqueur
1 - 2 splashes sweet and sour mix

Directions:
Pour the amaretto liqueur into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes. Add a splash or two of sweet and sour mix, and shake well. Strain or pour into an old-fashioned glass, garnish with a maraschino cherry and a slice of orange, and serve.

Foodie Fridays

Once again... It's BACK TO SCHOOL!!! I found this awesome recipe on Paula Deen's website! I just ADORE her, don't y'all?!?!?! I plan to make it this afternoon! Yummy!

Pimento Cheese Spread

1/2 teaspoon Paula Deen House Seasoning
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 cup grated Monterey Jack cheese
1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
1 3-ounce package cream cheese
2 to 3 tablespoon pimentos, smashed or diced
1 teaspoon grated onion
Cracked black pepper

Using an electric mixer, beat cream cheese until smooth and fluffy. Add all of the remaining ingredients and beat until well blended.

Thirsty Thursday

We all know that school has started!!! So... whether you are an adult student or a mom of a student, you may need a "refreshment" every now and then! LOL! Here's to the new school year! CHEERS!

Sour Apple Martini

2 part Vodka
1 part Apple Schnapps
1 part ginger ale
Splash of Lime Juice
Garnish: Apple Slice

Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with apple slice. Enjoy!

Shopping Monday

I am playing catch-up today! I started back to nursing school last Tuesday and I've been pretty busy! Mondays are my catch up day for all things... house work, homework, studying, blogging... you name it! LOL!



Along with neglecting my blog, I have been REALLY neglecting my work-out routine and I'm trying to get back on the wagon! YIKES--- Our pics are right around the corner and I don't want to have 30 chins like I do right now! I have gotta get back to it ASAP!!! Anyway, since today is "Shopping Monday" and I have work-outs on the brain.... I thought I should share this with you! I have been meaning to order one of these for a LONG time!
